Do you have a cherished photo you want to reinvent in a brand new way? A hand-painted portrait is a perfect way to do that!
Photos of pets, weddings, and homes are just some of the subjects that lend themselves to Photo Portraits.
My love of animals led me to start painting Pet Portraits for friends and family. Today, Pet Portraits are one of my most popular commission requests! There's no doubt that our pets are important members of the family, and a hand-painted portrait of a beloved fur friend is something you will cherish.
I also enjoy painting all kinds of animals from birds of all types and sizes, to rabbits, pigs, horses, cows, sheep and even more exotic creatures. The gallery below includes examples of some of my Pet Portraits and other animal paintings. If you have a pet or animal photo you'd like to turn into a hand-painted portrait, contact me!
If a Live Wedding Painting won't work at your event, or if your ceremony has already occurred, a painting from a photo is the next best thing!
A photo of the couple exchanging vows, the first dance, first kiss, cake cutting, or any other favorite moment can be turned into a Wedding Portrait. They also make great anniversary gifts!
Unlike some companies that use a machine to print a digital image onto a canvas, I hand paint each portrait to create a unique work of art. That means that if there is some aspect of your original photo that's not perfect, don't worry! A major benefit of commissioning a Photo Portrait is that I can modify the painting to reflect any desired changes from the original photo. Or, if you have two photos of the same subject that you like, I can combine features of each of them into one painting.
In recent years, I've learned the art of fluid/pour painting, and this technique can make a great background for some portraits, especially if you don't like the background of the original photo but want to keep the main image. Examples of pour paintings are posted in my Gallery.
Photo Portraits make great gifts for many occasions, including:
Like all commissions, there is a certain lead time involved. So, if you'd like a Pet Portrait or other Photo Painting finished by a particular date, please let me know as early as possible.
Pricing for Pet Portraits and other Photo Painting usually ranges from $100 to $600, but is dependent on variables including the size and type of canvas or panel desired, the subject matter, and how quickly the commission must be finished.
I can give you a better price estimate if you contact me with a photo of the subject(s), a desired size of canvas or panel, and a date you would like the project completed.
